See the coast differently.
Still water. Easy joy.
Slow adventures on the water.
Our Philosophy
Most water activities are about speed, noise, adrenaline, or crowds. Coastal Waterbikes is the opposite.
We are built for the moments in between: the glass-flat water at dawn, the long shadows of a summer evening, and the simple joy of moving under your own power.
We don't sell bike rentals; we sell a feeling of calm, connection, and discovery.
Whether you're a local seeing your home from a new angle or a visitor seeking a quiet escape, we invite you to stop rushing and start gliding.
What Makes Us Different
Most water activities are about speed, noise, adrenaline, or crowds. Coastal Waterbikes is the opposite. We are built for the moments in between.
No motors. No fumes. No noise. Just the sound of the water and the rhythm of your own breath. You'll finish feeling restored, not overstimulated.
We aren't an all-day chaos operation. We specialise in sunrise on the beach and sunset on the lake. We follow the light to ensure your experience is nothing short of magic.
Our bikes are incredibly stable and buoyant. Launch from jetties or the shoreline with no need to get wet. If you can pedal a bike, you can do this - from ages 8 to 80.
No 'performance' required. You can race if you feel the spark, but we prefer side-by-side cruising, floating conversations, and shared moments with the people you love.
Locals think they know their bay or lake - until they see the shoreline at eye level. Experience the stillness and reflections you've never noticed from the land.
Our Story
The Coastal Waterbikes Story
Coastal Waterbikes was born from a simple realisation: the best parts of the water are often the quietest.
Living on the Central Coast, we saw plenty of ways to go fast, but very few ways to slow down. We wanted to create an experience that felt like a deep breath - something that didn't require a wetsuit, a boat license, or a high level of fitness.
Today, we take pride in being a "nervous system-friendly" business. We've traded the noise of engines for the sound of laughter and the gentle lap of the tide.
Our mission is to help you reconnect - with nature, with your favourite people, and with the quiet joy of being present on the water.
See It In Action

What People Are Saying
Stories from those who've found their calm on the water.
"I thought I knew every corner of the Central Coast, but seeing the shoreline at water level during sunset was like discovering it all over again. So peaceful."
"The perfect way to slow down. We went out at golden hour and just floated, chatted, and watched the light change. Exactly the kind of calm we needed."
"I was nervous about balance, but these bikes are impossibly stable. My 72-year-old mum and my 10-year-old both loved it. A true family experience."
